How Schools Can Access CLEP Score Reports in Mid-November

In mid-November, K-12 schools will be able to access CLEP score reports by logging in to the My CLEP professional portal.

Colleges, universities, and other non-K-12 institutions that are set up as CLEP designated institutions (DI or score recipients) will continue to receive score reports according to the delivery method they selected when becoming a CLEP DI—either paper score reports via regular mail or electronic score reports.

Below is information on what to expect.

Instructions

  1. Receiving a My CLEP Access Code

Each year preceding July 1, new access codes are emailed to the CLEP primary contact we have on file for organizations that have placed voucher orders in the past two academic years.

For schools that already received an access code to order vouchers for this current academic year, the access code will be the same.

Schools new to CLEP can request a CLEP access code by logging in to the My CLEP professional portal with their College Board professional account. Once logged in and on the My CLEP Welcome page, click Don’t have an access code to request one.

Note: If anyone other than the CLEP coordinator or alternate coordinator requests an access code, the request will be referred to their CLEP coordinator.

  2. Identifying a CLEP Coordinator

If you haven't done so already, your organization will need to identify a CLEP coordinator to serve as the main CLEP point of contact for your organization. This person will be responsible for both placing voucher orders and/or accessing and downloading student scores. The individual can be a full- or part-time administrator, counselor, faculty member, or other institution staff member. Whoever the institution designates as the CLEP coordinator must also agree to maintain strict confidentiality of the information and data contained in the My CLEP professional portal.

The coordinator and alternate coordinator (if available) should be the only individuals logging into the My CLEP professional portal. If others at your school or district need students’ scores, they must request scores through the CLEP coordinator to ensure student information remains secure.

  3. Logging in to My CLEP Professional Portal

Your organization's CLEP coordinator must enter the CLEP access code when logging into the My CLEP professional portal for the first time. Schools that have already received a CLEP access code for the current academic year will use the same code to view scores.

If your school’s CLEP coordinator has already logged in to the My CLEP professional portal and entered the access code on or after July 1, 2024, then no additional action is needed to get scores.

  4. Accessing Score Reports

K-12 schools can access their students’ scores by clicking on the "Scores" tab within the My CLEP professional portal. Use the following information to guide you through the available options.

    Export View

Click on Export Score Data to view all scores for the selected academic year, including students who used vouchers ordered by your school. The file also contains scores for self-paid or other funded exams if students registered and listed your school as their attending institution.

    Table View

The table on the Scores tab includes the same data as the export view. However, some of the information is hidden when the table row is collapsed. To view additional student data, click on the arrow on the right side each table row.

    Prior Year Scores

Click on the academic year drop-down menu in the top left corner to view prior year scores. Once the academic year is selected, click on the "Scores" tab to access scores.

    Additional Scores

If you have CLEP access to multiple schools, you can view their score data by clicking on your organization’s name at the top of the page, selecting a school from the dropdown list, and then clicking on the Scores tab to access scores.
