Michigan CLEP Exam Fee Assistance

For Michigan's public and non-public school students qualifying for the College Board fee reduction of $44 per exam:

• The state of Michigan will pay $48  per CLEP exam.
• The student will pay $5  per exam.

What Schools Must Do 

The CLEP coordinator must complete the “steps” and review the “Important Notes” on the State Funding Available for CLEP page. The page also provides an overview of the CLEP state funding program, along with essential links and other key information.

Invoicing Process

• Schools are billed twice a year for tests taken with a voucher—once in January and once in July. 
• Before invoices are generated, CLEP coordinators must log in to My CLEP to enter the number of CLEP vouchers used by reduced fee eligible students. 
• Email reminders will be provided.
