If you have a learning or physical disability that would prevent you from taking a remote-proctored CLEP exam under standard conditions, you may request accommodations through College Board's Services for Students with Disabilities (SSD). You may either request your accommodations through your school or request them without going through your school.
The following accommodations are available with remote-proctored CLEP exams:
- Screen magnification
- Modifiable screen colors
- Extended time
- Untimed rest breaks (in view of the proctor)
- Accommodations that don’t impact the CLEP testing platform and allow the test taker to stay within view of the proctor, such as permission for food, drinks, or medication and permission to test blood sugar.*
*If a test taker leaves the view of the proctor, the exam session will be terminated.
All additional accommodations are available for testing only in test centers.
We recommend submitting your accommodations request two months in advance of when you're planning to test. You won't be able to complete your exam registration with remote proctoring until College Board approves your accommodations. Students receive notice of all decisions via postal mail.
Once approved, you can log back in to the CLEP My Account Registration Portal to complete your registration.
