By participating, each entrant agrees to abide by these Official Rules and decisions of the College Board (“Sponsor”) and judges, which shall be final and binding in all respects relating to this Contest.
CONTEST OVERVIEW: Students who earn credit through CLEP increase their likelihood of degree completion and can save both time and money in earning their degrees. The College Board is having a contest to encourage campus-approved military and/or veteran student groups (e.g., ROTC) at eligible U.S. colleges and universities, as well as members of these groups who are service members and veterans attending or will be attending in Fall 2019, such eligible colleges and universities and their immediate family members, to share a video (an “Entry”). An Entry must highlight how military and/or veteran student(s) benefitted from CLEP or shows CLEP related academic success stories about military or veteran students. An Entry should range from 30 seconds to 1 minute in length and be posted to Instagram with the hashtags #CLEPOut #CollegeBoardContest.
ELIGIBILITY: Contest is open only to (1) campus-approved military and/or veteran student groups at a degree-granting U.S. college or university (such groups, “Campus Groups” and such entrants, “Group Entrants”) and (2) members of Campus Groups who are military service members or veterans who are currently enrolled or who will be enrolled in Fall 2019 at a degree-granting program at a U.S. college or university and their spouses, parents, children, and siblings, and their respective spouses who are U.S. residents in the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia and are at least eighteen (18) years of age or the age of majority in their respective states/jurisdictions of permanent residence at time of entry, whichever is older (“Individual Entrants”). An entry made by an Individual Entrant will be considered made on behalf of the Campus Group of such Individual Entrant. The College Board may ask Individual Entrants to verify eligibility by providing proof of enrollment or acceptance at an eligible school (such as a tuition statement or an acceptance letter). Sponsor, its employees, officers, and directors, and members of their immediate families (spouses, parents, siblings, and children, regardless of where they live) and those living in the same household are not eligible to enter or win. Sponsor reserves the right to verify the eligibility of winners. Participation constitutes entrant’s full and unconditional agreement to these Official Rules and to Sponsor’s decisions, which are final and binding in all matters related to the Contest.
PLEASE NOTE: It is the entrant’s sole responsibility to review and understand his/her/its institution’s or student group’s policies regarding eligibility to participate in this Contest. If participation in this Contest is in violation of the policies of the entrant’s institution or student group, the entrant may be disqualified from entering or receiving prizes. Sponsor disclaims any and all liability or responsibility for disputes arising between an entrant and his or her institution related to this matter, and prizes will only be awarded in compliance with the institution’s policies.
HOW TO ENTER: During the Contest Period, eligible persons can enter the Contest by posting a short (30–60 seconds) video on Instagram with the hashtags #CLEPOut#CollegeBoardContest that highlights how they or, if applicable, their family member(s) benefitted from CLEP or shows academic success stories related to CLEP about military service members or veterans.
