Exciting Update on CLEP Calculus Examination
CLEP is excited to announce that effective October 2012, the American Council on Education’s College Credit Recommendation Service (ACE CREDIT®) has increased the number of semester hours recommended for students with scores of 50 and above on the CLEP Calculus Examination to four (4) semester hours of credit. This is an update from three (3) credit hours.
If you are a college administrator, you should start the process to update your institution’s CLEP policy to reflect this increase in recommended credit hours. Once your policy is revised you should update it here so this change can also be communicated to visitors to the College Board website.
In October, 2012, ACE CREDIT® also evaluated and recommended college credit for nine (9) other CLEP exams. For more information, visit the ACE CREDIT website at www.acenet.edu/credit or the CLEP website at http://clep.collegeboard.org.
ACE CREDIT® helps adults gain academic credit for courses and examinations taken outside traditional degree programs. More than 2,000 colleges and universities consider ACE CREDIT recommendations in determining the applicability of coursework and examination results to their courses and degree programs. For more information, visit the ACE CREDIT website at www.acenet.edu/credit.
